Infrasors is a South African resources company, mining and producing a spread of minerals for the industrial, metalurgical, mining and construction sectors.
The company, with its proven track record in the mining industry, aims to leverage its well established and recognised brands, empowerment credentials, balanced business portfolio and proven financial performance.
Infrasors was initially listed on the AltX market of the JSE Limited (share code: IRA) in April 2007, and subsequently transferred to the main board of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange under the general mining sector in February 2010.
The Infrasors mining interests are housed in:
- Lyttelton Centurion Mine – Opencast mining and beneficiation of a dolomite ore-body.
- Marble Hall Mine – Opencast mining and beneficiation of a limestone (metamorphosed dolomite) ore-body.
- Delf Sand Mine – Opencast mining and beneficiation of alluvial silica sand and a silica quartz ore-body.
- Delf Silica Coastal – Opencast mining and beneficiation of alluvial silica sand.

In March 2013 Afrimat Limited acquired a 50.7% stake in the Company. Afrimat Limited is a leading black empowered open pit mining company providing construction materials and industrial minerals. The group is listed in the ‘Construction & Building Materials’ sector of the Main Board JSE Limited and its core subsidiaries have been in operation for more than 45 years. Afrimat supplies a broad range of construction materials ranging from aggregates, concrete products (bricks, blocks and pavers) to readymix as well as industrial minerals. In addition Afrimat has established a strong foothold in contracting services comprising mobile crushing, screening, drilling and blasting.
